Who are we?
I am Marta Reimer, pastoral psychologist, cousellor, and the managing director for Eleos - Education. I got my degree as a health visitor in Hungary. I have been living in Germany with my family since 1986. In 2005 I felt a calling from God to study more about counselling. I attended the course at the German Therapeutic Counselling Foundation. I got my Master of Theology in Pastoral Therapy at the University of South Africa UNISA.
The counselling course organized by Eleos Education in Hungary works in conjunction with the Therapeutic Counselling Foundation in Germany.
Well-known Hungarian and foreign experts/speakers teach the course.
The origin of our name
The Greek word “eleos” means “compassion, mercy, and sympathy”. This word occurs in the Bible many times as a description of God’s character. God turns to us, to His creation with compassion, mercy, and faithfulness. These characteristics are an integral part of our human relationships and are required to improve such relationships. God gives us compassion as a gift so that we can help our neighbours with their body, soul, and spirit related issues.
